aboriginal cultural fest

there was a little cultural fest in anuguru last week. was pretty cool, like these thugged out dudes
















below left is sylvester, he works at raynees work. he’s also in this band.
they call themselves ‘poison whiskey’ such a good name!
























they were a couple people handing out trays of fresh damper with butter and honey

heaps of kids gathered and entered the spear chucking comp, i think the winner got 64 metres!
the world record is just over the hundred metre mark, so they were doin some pretty good chuckin’

i had a chuck too, and as you can see by raynee’s photo below, i had absolutely no style.











this guy asked me what i was holding, so i took a picture and showed him. he was pretty amped.











there was a massive bbq about to start cookin but we had to bail out early
